{"id":28161,"date":"2011-12-14T17:05:00","date_gmt":"2011-12-14T17:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.searchenginewatch.com\/2011\/12\/14\/define-an-english-person-c-word-easter-egg-or-google-f-bomb\/"},"modified":"2019-04-30T04:52:49","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T04:52:49","slug":"define-an-english-person-c-word-easter-egg-or-google-f-bomb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/searchenginewatch.com\/2011\/12\/14\/define-an-english-person-c-word-easter-egg-or-google-f-bomb\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Define An English Person&#8221; C-Word Easter Egg or Google F-Bomb?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A friend popped on Skype this morning and told me to type &#8220;define an English person&#8221; into <a href=\"https:\/\/searchenginewatch.com\/2018\/05\/21\/no-need-for-google-12-alternative-search-engines-in-2018\/\">Google<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Um, okaaay.<\/p>\n<p>In the 0.32 seconds it took for Google to deliver the results, a dozen possibilities flashed through my mind as to what possible definition of an English person could be&#8230; but none so eloquent or concise:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center\" style=\"display: block;\" title=\"C-Word Dropped as Google F-Bomb\" src=\"https:\/\/searchenginewatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/cnt-import\/sew\/IMG\/417\/205417\/c-word-google-f-bomb.png\" alt=\"C-Word Dropped as Google F-Bomb\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Whilst it seems like a funny <a href=\"https:\/\/searchenginewatch.com\/topic\/easter_egg\">easter egg<\/a>, it&#8217;s actually a case of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/forum\/p\/Web+Search\/thread?tid=0833b74b046dab18&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bad ranking<\/a>&#8220;, presumably caused by a bunch of Google Bombers.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that no English people were harmed in the making of this <a href=\"https:\/\/searchenginewatch.com\/topic\/googlebomb\">Google Bomb<\/a>. But a lot of English people must have linked to that Wikipedia page with the phrase &#8220;define an english person&#8221;. One can only conclude that the Google bombers must be English, cos it takes one to know one right?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Go to Google.
